Overview
Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearly two thousand limestone islands and caves fill the bay — legend says a dragon’s pearls created them. The classic trip is a one- or two-night cruise: kayak, cave visits and swimming by day, stargazing on deck at night. Nearby Lan Ha Bay or Bai Tu Long can be quieter with equally dramatic scenery.
