Overview
Phan Thiet is the capital of Binh Thuan province and the urban gateway to Mui Ne. Expect a working harbour, the Whale Temple (Van Thuy Tu) and a seaside promenade; dunes and beaches sit just east. Many travellers base here for dune days and seafood nights, or string Phan Thiet with Vung Tau and Mui Ne for a slow southeast coast holiday.
